I get what you are saying but i prefer our "wake up" calls of the narrow victory over lesser team variety. A couple wofford games come to mind.

The A&M game was a chance for us to show out as a headline act and we failed misserably. Not to mention i thoughtit was our chance to get ahead of them in the season series. They are only going to get better. Thats probably a bigger problem with my personal expectations however.

The idea makes sense that it would be a blessing, but I agree with Foolish, I would rather learn the lesson with a close win. It is great to learn lessons, but do they have to come with a lose.
