Some people respond well to it. I really believe getting knocked off a "high horse" can be the best thing for some people, and by extension a team. May be they realize they're going to have to work harder than they thought.

I get what you are saying but i prefer our "wake up" calls of the narrow victory over lesser team variety. A couple wofford games come to mind.
The A&M game was a chance for us to show out as a headline act and we failed misserably. Not to mention i thoughtit was our chance to get ahead of them in the season series. They are only going to get better. Thats probably a bigger problem with my personal expectations however.
