This has been a problem in the past, but recently Grant has stepped it up. Just in the past few months Grant did the Crimson Caravan tour, had an SEC Network interview, started a twitter account, announced a midnight madness event, and talked to the new Crimson Chaos president about setting up the standard of what he expects from the student section which was sent out in an email to students. Sometimes all you need is a little local competition to step your game up.

Not to mention our biggest problem with rebounding was the fact that we were in zone the whole game because we had zero depth. It's much harder to rebound in a zone than it is in man which we should be running much more this year.

Yes I am aware that most of those bigs are gone. But that freshman last year Taylor looks as if he has the same problem. I notice it out of players like Cooper. He cannot use his right hand to do anything. A bunch of one armed rebound attempts. Okay for offensive rebounding, but it is not the way to defensive rebound. And yes we will be in zone defense again this year. Our players don't know how to play defense in man to man without fouling.

I am just fed up with Grant. I have watched his teams play. The fouls at home don't get called as often. This is a major reason we win some games at home. On the road they play the same way and cannot compete when the refs are calling fouls differently. I could go on forever about the state of our team. I should probably just shut up. But mediocrity is the best we can hope for with Coach Grant. And mediocrity is not good enough in my book.
