Or the wives/girlfriends of NFL players are half as likely to report it in fear of losing that comfy life. Just throwing out the possibility.

Beat me to it. OP's premise is just dumb. Whether you're rich or not, women are looking for a cushy life. It's no surprise that wives and girlfriends of millionaires report abuse less often than those of Joe Blow.
