He was putting up very good numbers for you guys and showed great poise for a freshman, who are you expecting to fill in his role?

I'm sure, whoever he is, is just as talented and would be an all-American and belitnikoff winner at any other school. At least according to the Ags.

Eddie Pope will fill in for Speedy at the X receiver spot, Quiv or Sabo will fill in where Eddie has been. Nick Harvey on returns.

ETA: Pope has 10 receptions, 167 yards, and 2 TDs so far this season. Similar receiving numbers to Speedy.

Don't worry about it. They have plenty of options.

I would think Kyle Allen would take his spot as backup QB while Speedy is away.

Speedy us an absolute beast. The combination of quickness and strength is off the charts.

Eddie Pope has had a great season so far - so he'll get plenty of looks with Quiv and Tabuyo backfilling those slots

That being said, I expect to see more Trey Williams. He is a RB but is quick and can catch a bubble screen

Let's see, what do we have to choose from?

Do we use one of these at WR?

24 catches, 258 yards, 1 TD
11 catches, 177 yards, 3 TD
10 catches, 169 yards, 2 TD
13 catches, 154 yards, 3 TD
5 catches, 107 yards, 1 TD

Or do we use Trey Williams at punt returner, who has almost 3,000 all-purpose yards for his career?

Don't get me wrong, I'd rather have Noil's 300+ APY, but we can beat SMU without him.

My fat arse could fill in for Speedy against SMU and we'd still win by 30 points. He's out for one game against a team whose coach quit two games into the season.

@billyliucci: On status of Speedy Noil, @CoachSumlin says "Speedy probably won't play this weekend." Says some of the reports are completely false.

The kid is out for one game against horrible competition. Who cares?
