None of those were viable options save for possibly Sarkisian and he just lost to BC.
Strong - bad blood still with UF (Foley)
Petersen - never coaching in the South because of his daughter
Sark - no thanks, west coast guy anyway

The pool isn't as big as many like to think. Bama got lucky with timing and Saban bombing out in the NFL. We'll need some luck too if Boom is fired after this season.
Everyone claims that there are tons of coaches that are good and experienced and will come at the drop of a hat. That just isn't so.
