Look I'm a hard arse too. I got whipped with a switch. I got hit with the belt buckle if i tried to get away. My dad didn't stop whipping me until I turned around and grabbed the belt from him when I was 15 and told him that was the last time I would be getting spanked with a belt.

I have 3 kids the youngest 5 and oldest 11. I would NEVER dream of hitting them with a switch and I would NEVER hit them hard enough to draw blood or to leave marks on them. It's not necessary.

Peterson crossed the line between discipline and physical abuse. Pleading ignorance is no excuse IMO a short stint in jail is not unreasonable

This. I mean, yeah the whopping that kid got might of been a little much, but not enough to warrant fricking up AP's whole life over it.

Me, my bro, and cousin would almost always get whopped by my grandma on sunday's after church. She would hold our hand, and whop us. As she was doing this, we would be moving all around and stuff to avoid the switch, but she would get us good. I would get welps on my legs and arse and hands from blocking them.

I love my grandma so much and I would never had wanted her to get in trouble for disciplined us. But yeah, I think all these pussy arse women are against it. Well if your a single mother and your kid doesn't respect you or authority, it might be b/c you failed at discipline your child. Grounding is not a good punishment.
