My point has nothing to do with plays. The plays called are working just fine. What I don't get is how much of a struggle it seems to be to get the play called and relayed in and then called on the field.

Even with new coordinator, terminology & formations, getting the play in can't be this difficult. The players and the qbs obviously know the playbook, so that isn't the problem. There is something wrong with the method of relaying the plays in and it will cause a problem once the team gets into league play.

Honestly, I had begun to wonder if our Qbs weren't just dumb. But that isn't it. Sims and Coker both stare at the sideline, eyes going wide in confusion, like everyone signaling/yelling at them have suddenly started speaking ancient Latin.

I think Kiffin was a great hire, but I hope they figure out a better way to get the play called before it cost the team in a close game.

Yea what we saw yesterday will not work on the road. They've got to get that fixed. Same with the defense, too much confusion if the offense changes formations. Kiffin needs to hone up the relay and Smart needs to dumb it down and let the guys play. We have guys on defense more worried about lining up wrong than they are about letting a guy just run free.

Too many times on defense we try to run the perfect play with the perfect personnel and the offense snaps the ball while we're trying to figure out what that is.

We need to get a hat on the tight end also. That guy was wide open down the seam all day

Wasn't it Coop who said that Kiffin's system was more "player friendly"? You'd think that would translate to getting plays communicated easier. Hopefully they get it sorted out before a road game.

I wonder if we will move to those picture cards if we continue the no-huddle. Not a fan of them usually, but it might help things run smoother.
