You should only see new flags for posts that were created after your last refreshed on the board. Did you see any new flags on your last refresh? and were there any new posts that should have had the new flags?

For me, if I open the SECr for the first time, having not in on in a while, it'll typically show up without any "new" notifications. Once I'm in and browsing around, though, it'll start telling me what's new and what's not.
Don't know if that's been fixed or not; I'll make sure to check next time I'm on after a break. It didn't seem like it was happening all the time but that might've just been me not paying attention.

Very hit and miss for me. When I first sign in, it shows no flags for new posts or new threads. I just tested it out by surfing some of the team sites for a few minutes, hit the rant again, had what would look to be 2 new posts flagged showing posted at 7:09. The other posts at the same time or even earlier during that 5 minutes don't show as being new posts within that thread.

It works if I'm only on the main rant page. But if I venture to the OTB or a team board, then come back, it doesn't work or will sometimes show 1 or 2 flags for new posts

Definitely more than 2. I usually switch every ten minutes (when I'm on) and I don't think only 2 posts will pop up in that time

It's been vary hit or miss today, but seems to be working currently.
