Yep...going in to every game we'd have to play our best to have a chance....and after every win we were lucky.
Nobody ever got any bulletin board material from CVD...that's for damn sure....

I remember as a kid in the 80's......CVD hyping up William and Mary during game week. Now I'm 10 or 11 years old and even then I knew that W&M wasn't worth a damn.
I remember asking my father, "Daddy, why does Coach Dooley say W&M is a great team when we all know we are going to win big?" He said "Son, Coach Dooley is a fine man and if he is ever going to poor mouth a college football team it will be his own, not another."
