Considering how much talent we lost at the WR position, I think he is a great fit. He can run if nobody gets open, but can hit his targets with accuracy and zip if they do.

Also, with his 6 TD's last week, it looks like he at least tied a Mizzou record. He tied his own passing record (5 against UK). Does anybody know what the overall school TD record for a game is?

In fairness, the OL protected him so well last week, Mauk could have taken a nap between snap and decision time. I think we would all expect any player at this level to perform well with that kind of time. The test for Mauk will come when the OL is facing a tough defense and his decision cycle is compressed.

I think he will do fine and probably even excel at that point, but except for briefly last season, we haven't seen it yet.

Still one foot on. His field vision needs to improve as well as his timing with receivers. I think he'll get there, but it's a matter of time. He will need a little help from his team mates also.

I agree, when they run into some good defenses, we'll see the real Mauk. We seen flashes last year. But he didn't have the whole load on his shoulders like this year. If the defense keeps up like they did against UCF, he'll have a short field to work with. That's a good thing.

I still don't think we've seen everything yet. Still "pre season".
