I was in HS, and Sitting in 2nd period Freshman English class. The. our teacher Mr. Powell got up and turned on the TV. We watched all day during classes. One girl was balling her eyes out in pain. She would end up leaving for the day. Her father was stationed at the Pentagon. Luckily, he wasn't harmed in the attack. I remember everyone speculating who it was all day.

It wasn't until I got home that afternoon that I remembered my father was at a conference meeting in Canada. Well all runways and air traffic was shut down during the crisis. We reached out to him, and he and several members of the Phoenix and Chicago branches decided to rent a car and make the drive down. They took turns driving, and when it came time to go their desperate ways they promised to meet back up with their families in tow soon. We all met back up a few months later. Those 5 business men made a lasting friendship that day.
