I'm a stats and demographics person by nature and somewhat by profession. The number includes all of UMMC, btw. Not just nursing.
Here's your last year numbers for comparison.
Its confusing. Its like saying Arkansas has 45,000+ students, which technically it does. Those diplomas say University of Arkansas on them, just like the ones in Fayetteville.
We have over 26,300 students on the Fayetteville campus. Hell, we have 300 or so University of Arkansas Medical School students in a UAMS satellite campus in Fayetteville, a half mile from the main campus and don't count them in our UA-Fayetteville numbers. They are part of UAMS. We're opening a PT school next year in Fayetteville, but those are still considered UAMS-NW rather than UA-F.
An 800 student jump at Ole Miss is nice, especially when enrollments around the country are generally shrinking. But its much less impressive when its spread among 5 campuses. Arkansas added 1000 more students on the Fayetteville campus alone this year.

That doesn't make Ole Miss unimpressive. That's just damn good work from Arkansas. Increased enrollment post education bubble means you're doing something right.
