First TD pass to Drew Morgan - a ~14 yard out route. Ball was thrown on target, but Allen did not release the ball until Morgan was well out of his break, and the ball took a little longer to get there than you would like for that throw. Against a SEC DB, that's going to be a pick 6 half of the time. Either Allen needs to perfect his timing on those or we need to quit throwing them, because he just does not have the arm strength to make that a safe throw when the timing isn't perfect.

That wasn't an out route. Morgan rounded off...

Learn the game before making critiques you know nothing about. Also, Morgan wasn't option one on the play.

His deep throw to Keon Hatcher off play action: Allen fakes the handoff, looks up and takes a hesitation step forward and then steps into his throw and Hatcher has to stop and wait on the ball to get there. This would give a good secondary too much time to react and make a play. Would like to see Allen get that ball off quicker and lead the receiver.

The throw made was the proper throw. Hatcher was wide open by 20 yards. You never want to over throw. Throw where you know it can be caught.

Whatever you want to call it, Morgan broke outside.

lol It doesn't take a Bobby Petrino to see Allen's passes to the outside have gotten picked off more than they should. Doesn't take someone who knows the difference between an out and a "round off" to see that ball thrown by Allen would have been jumped by a Bama or LSU DB.

Underthrow is preferable to an overthrow, obviously. But a throw on target that doesn't make your WR stop or come back is preferable to an underthrow - that concept isn't an advanced one either.

Looked more like a flag route that was flattened out.
