ESPN Box Score

- UK improves to 2-0 for the first time since 2011.

- Probably time to go back to the drawing board with special teams. MacGinnis is 3 for 6 this season despite hitting a 53 yarder.

- Kentucky improves to +6 in the TO column. In two games Kentucky has 0 turnovers. I doubt that holds for next week but it's good to see them taking care of the ball.

- Towles rushed 22 times for 59 yards (96 yards, lost 36, netted 59). While it's good to have a guy who can give you multiple options, he's going to have to play it safer in conference play if he wants to make it through the season.

- The defense looked much better on the edges then they did last week but the secondary got pretty lucky that Ohio didn't capitalize on some open WRs downfield. They won't be near as lucky next week, as Florida looked pretty good.

- Thought Clemons ran well today. Kemp looked good coming out of the wildcat as well. Horton had a big run as well. Missed Heard there a little bit but running by committee didn't do too bad.

- The offensive line is going to have to do a much better job recognizing the blitz. And you better believe Florida is going to blitz.

All in all not the best game you could play but we've all definitely seen worse. We should have Badet, Heard, and Blue back next week against Florida.

Gotta give Ohio credit for a good defensive game. They put in some good blitz packages, but we gotta recognize them better.

And yes, we got lucky in the first half with the bobcats missing several opportunities down the field.

Edit: bah, i'm blind and didn't see your box score. lol

I agree that Towles can't run that much and survive the season. Also, the O line and backs have got do do a better job in protection.

Defense played pretty well. Kicking game is going to keep us nauseous all season long. Will cost us a much needed win if things don't change dramatically.

I hope this team goes to Gainesville with some confidence. They can play with Florida. Got to get off to a good start though, get an early lead.

Sorry about my failure of a game thread. I didn't get much sleep Friday night and woke up early to get some drinking in before our game. I passed out in my chair watching y'alls game
