I think we should all just admit 04 was a down year for the SEC.
A lot of great players left the year before and Auburn capitalized.
Eli Manning, David Greene, Matt Mauck, Casey Clausen...I mean the list goes on and on

Most of the competitive teams had 1st year starters or freshman playing QB.
Heck even Bama was hit with Probation in 2002 and lost 21 scholarships and 2 years from bowl appearances...

Evey year Auburn does well = down year for the SEC
