Yeah, as an outsider (LSU fan) I think it does.
No matter how chaotic a Manziel highlight film might be, you could always point to his production. He put up a lot of numbers on SEC competition (LSU excluded), and that gave the impression that A&M rode Manziel to victories and potent offensive stats. I think that got him drafted as high as he was.
Now, a small sample of post-Manziel has appeared, and you get the opposite impression- Manziel rode A&M (specifically Sumlin's system).
I think an announcer for the game brought up this question, when he asked if Cleveland might be rethinking drafting Manziel (was late in the 1st half).
