Yes I agree, I think that is what Tiger Live2 was getting at. Ok so the top 8 conferences and 4 At-large

How say you to that Crimson Legend?

Very reasonable.

What do you do with the bottom 4 conferences? Give them criteria where they have to be considered as at-large?

I think you and Tiger 2 may have a better handle on this than me, but what Tiger 2 is suggesting, I THINK

1. The Top 8 conferences would be ranked by an objective criteria, such as BCS with the computer algorithm (lets not get stuck here just yet, let me finish)

Then the At-Large would be ranked using the same Ranking Criteria, whatever was used to rank the Conferences. That I think means anyone could get in who may be from much smaller or less thought of conferences.

How now?

2 conference champs would be left out. They can play a bowl, or go into pool of bowl teams like now.
Seeds 1-4 are the top ranked conference champs. Seeds 5-12, just go to best team. So like in 2011, LSU is the 1 seed, gets a bye,OSU 2 etc... Bama would be the 5 seed, play likely the 8th ranked conference champ(12th seed), in BDS. First 2 weeks are played at higher seed.
