12 conf. champs

Aren't there only 10 now? 6 at large is too many. That's why I said 12 teams, with 8 conference champs. That way the Sun Belt and C-USA champs are still left out.(or whoever)

Make Every College Football Count

This petition will insure every college football team will have an object earned spot to the College Football Championship Playoffs and the Championship. Teams eligible to play for the National Championship would be:

1. One of 12 Teams seeded using an objective seeding method, such as BCS or something similar

2. All of the 8 Conference Champions would be automatically in the playoffs

2. 4 additional At-Large teams would be included in the playoff based on the seeding procedure.

3. Top 4 Conference Seeds would get a bye in the first round.

4. The remaining teams, ranked 5 through 12, would play in the first round. Semi-final games will be played at the higher seeded teams home field.

5. This process keeps the regular season meaningful because everyone will want to finish in the top 4 to earn the Bye. It also insures the smaller conferences a fair shot at the Championship.

OK, how does this look? We would aim the petition to be sent to College Football Playoff
