Sumlin is more innovative, better recruiter, and has a more proven track record as a head coach.

I'll give you 1/3. I do think Sumlin is a better NFL prospect, though.

He's been head coach longer, I'll give you that. How many conference championships has Sumlin won? Malzahn has won 2 as a head coach.

Take off the maroon glasses. Gus recruits just fine for him to do what he wants to do. If Sumlin would have taken y'all to the national championship, Aggies would be talking about it still 100 years from now. But you scoff at Gus taking Auburn to the NC with a team that won 3 games the year prior. Both are good coaches, but I think you're letting that aggie homerism get to you on this one.

Gus innovate his offense and helped being in this hunh craze. Plus Gus innovated the wildcat which was adopted by nfl teams.
