The rumor was that Bryce walked into Dooley's office and pretty much told him the deal he had with Kiffin and Dooley turned him down. Even when he and his brother went to KState later, Bryce was named as a player getting impermissible benefits through Nevin Shapiro - Miami's 'rogue' booster. He was NCAA'd before he played at UT because of his handler to see if he was eligible and NCAA'd again at KState then he left KState early under weird circumstances for the draft.

I think Bryce Brown had he not had that handler, would've stayed at UT but that guy was pimping those kids out hard. And when the heat got to hot at Miami and Tennessee for the checks to continue both brothers transferred from each school to KSTATE.
