No way bama can claim a NC in 1945. Come on dude-
"The 1945 Army Cadets football team represented the United States Military Academy. The Cadets were coached by Red Blaik in his fifth year and finished the season undefeated with a record of nine wins and zero losses (9–0). The squad was also recognized as consensus national champions for the 1945 season.[1] For the season, the Cadets' offense scored 412 points, while the defense allowed 46 points."
We had the number 1 and 2 top vote getters for the Heisman - All in one backfield....Doc Blanchard also won the Maxwell Award and Sullivan Award as the top amateur athlete in the US. We were undefeated in 1944 and 1946...like I said- no way bama won the championship in 46...
