I'm reserving judgment until I see what Mason does against a team that does everything to stop the run and forces him to win with the pass. I think Spurrier will come up with something to challenge him, so that will be interesting. I'm sure that the better teams on our schedule like Missouri and Auburn will come up with game plans that will dare Mason to be a difference maker.
At this point, though, I didn't see anything that suggests this guy is much better than Joe Cox. He seems to have a so-so arm and he's not particularly accurate. The one positive people keep mentioning is that he didn't throw an INT and he completed a high percentage. But when your average yards per completion is 5.0, is that so difficult?
Personally, I think Ramsey, Bauta, and Park are all superior talents. The only reason Mason is in there is that he's got three or four years more in the system than each of them. Period.

They'll load the box to stop Gurley. It'll be loud, too.
But they couldn't get any pressure on Hill. If Mason can get half the time he got, I think we'll be okay. I'd like to see their linebackers cover our RBs in the passing game.
