Arkansas' o-line looked less than impressive in the first half. Auburn's d-line was living in the backfield. The problem wasn't the push from Arkansas, it was hyper-aggressiveness by the d-linemen and LB out of position. The D-line and LB did not concentrate on gap assignments and were rushing every play like a passing down. They ended up passing the ball carrier in the backfield while opening up wide lanes. That's the adjustment you saw in the second half, the d-line for Auburn staying in their lanes, not over pursuing and LB's making proper gap fills.

I guess your coach should have explained to them the goal is to tackle the guy with the ball.
