for a 7th round pic? Damn, thought they liked him in NE. Surely they coulda got more. Something up with him? Heard here that he's had a couple of recent rehab stints.

Yeah I thought they'd get more for him... a 7th round pick in 2016 doesn't seem like much.

They do like him in NE. The reason the trade took so long to happen is that they kept asking for more but nobody offered more. They had to trade him for something though or else he'd be gone in free agency after the season.

No leverage
Not enough teams scrambling to find a QB and Houston knew N.E. had to trade him or lose him to free agency.
Last year was when N.E. could have gotten a higher pick for him.
