I don't think this has ever been their goal. Where we are now was the next level. Honestly, this regime will never break through this ceiling, and I'm ok with it. The best we can ask for at this point is an SEC championship.

As long as the next group has the goal of getting to the next level, which is now a Final Four/Championship. I can handle GP doing what he does for a few more years. If he keeps this up the program will be in a place where they can make a big hire that takes everything up a notch.

I have no problem sitting back and enjoying the next few years. I know what my expectations are, I'm ok with it for now. I remember the bad times. When the very idea of Mizzou Football gave me a headache. It's come a long way, and it's all because of GP. Not anyone else.

I respect what the man has done, but you're right about letting him choose his successor. That's always a shitty idea.

no dude, I'm not making this up, he has stated his goal is "the next level" and by that he clearly meant winning the big game, the CC and taking the team to the NC game finishing out in the #1 spot. He has that much right, that's his goal for the program and that's what it should be.

no question, you just need an AD that go sell the position to the right coach, it's not an impossible task and Pinkel has certainly helped make it easier for the next guy.

I remember when Bradley, Winslow and Wilder could chew the butt of any Big 8 team, they might not always win but they almost always had a shot and at least made it fun to watch. Yea we saw a bad stretch that was largely brought on by our own admin, most of us know the story, no point in rehashing the "woe is me" lines. When we joined the SEC part of the deal should be throwing away the "gee if we can just compete" attitude and bringing the "let's get serious and win this sh*t" attitude, leave the hoping to compete for the beakers.
