The thing that stood out to me was the aggressiveness. Watts made aggressive mistakes, as tmc said. Last year I felt we stood around grabbing at players instead of stepping the frick up and hitting someone. I'd rather we blow a coverage or get a PI because of over pursuing or being too aggressive then give up an easy TD because of laziness or going through the motions, which is what it seemed like last year. It may be sad that's improvement, but at least we have the right attitude

Yessir!

Along that line one play that stood out to me was fish Watts obviously going for the pick instead of a sure tackle. Not a good play and that will be corrected, but I love that he was in position and aggressively doing his thing, rather than a Howard-like "Oops" get-faked-out-of-your-jock-then-watch-him-run-for-a-TD move.

Agreed. And, we were the more physical team, on both sides of the ball. To me, that's the happy ingredient in all of this. We scrambled the brains of the college football world last night. It has now officially begun.
