I'm going to fight the urge to make any real judgements until Ole Miss. If we can fight in that game, and Mason can settle down then I'll feel better. If we get spanked again, and he still looks confused and clueless then I'll start to worry. For a first game as a HC, this game had a lot of weird variables and unique challenges.

I think it is still too early to tell as you suggested. I have a feeling he can bring the team back up.

After a bit of time to reflect, I'm less concerned about Mason than I am Dorrell...

Exactly my thoughts.

I had thought about this. Was it Mason or Dorrell that was advocating the QB changes? As ugly as the offensive performance was and all the TOs, I still think that was the one thing that really scares me going forward. The other things can be fixed. Confidence of and in those guys needs is too fragile. It also brings your coaches into question when they make willy nilly changes like that.

But hey, it's a new week. We have a new opponent. The staff and players have a second chance to step up to the plate.

Ok so game two against a damn good ole miss team that we lost to last year by a thin margin.

I don't have a lot of confidence that the turnovers will stop but willing to give it another shot.

It's not just the QB play everyone has to get better.

I don't think the QB play from either Rivers or Robinette was all that discouraging. It was the first game. Lots of QBs take a half or so to settle in. Neither really had that chance.

That was the biggest issue. Without looking, I think all but 14 of Temple's points came off TOs. We put the defense into some very bad situations. Their play was promising, but we need to be more aggressive.
