Where on Earth did I say this? I said that there are plenty of unregistered weapons out there...and if you work in the industry you know this to be true

Then alluded to gun shows and dealers and used the term millions.AND, once again.. unless it's an NFA or SBR or some other special class III weapon, you DO NOT have to register guns.

I'm clearly talking about weapons that necessitate registration but aren't, why would I be talking about those that don't require it?

Millions of them out there? I think not.

I saw enough gun laws skirted by a pretty well-known dealer in the Fort Stewart area

Did you report any of them? Give an anonymous tip about them? If not, then you did a disservice to legal gun owners and dealers. They're the ones that give everyone else a bad name. And as you stated, there are laws in place to prevent those things from happening. SO, no more government intervention and laws are needed. Just citizens that will stand up and report wrong doing when it occurs. If you're not prepared to do so, then it's a joke to call for more gun laws.

If that doesn't fit your narrative is your own frickin' problem, brother.

No problem here. I think there should be less gun laws on the books. I'm not the one arguing and talking out both sides of my mouth on this issue. Nor have I changed a position or argued the law says one thing, and then tried to say I said something else. I'd be happy to go toe to toe on gun laws and regulations and what one can legally own and not own, as well as discuss the legalities that surround dealers and gun shows, anytime.

That may be true, I'll concede that, although the intention wasn't to try and invalidate arms dealers in general, or allude that the majority or even a significant portion were trying to do things.

I do think it's millions, though, and probably owned by people who aren't criminals or plan to do anything wrong with them. Maybe even some criminals who served their time who still abide by the law but want to protect themselves.

Anti-gubmant dude asking me to report them? That's a shocker.

I also want to preface this by saying: We're covering very, very sensitive material and while I wasn't actively threatened I was told to "stop spreading rumors" after confiding in several close friends that I had seen illicit activity.

Of course, a few months later legal matters came to a head.

Similarly: I agree. These types of dealers make it seem like the issue is far more prevalent than it may actually be.

Nor am I to the latter part, and to the former: Less, but smarter gun laws is my position.

I also need to get going to work, we'll continue this if the thread doesn't get deleted for unsaid reasons. (It happened to my Heaven post.)

Take care.
