This is a wonderful opportunity for UA/AU fans to come together and show some class to support a great cause. A children's charity. It doesn't mean you condone or forgive crazy Harvey Updyke. Nobody can change what happened, but it could bring a happy ending to an ugly situation. Don't be influenced by outside agitators who only look for reasons to point and laugh at our state. I hope this event is a great success.

OK, and then he can do 50 more of them to pay for his restitution to Auburn and the State for being a fricking criminal.

He's a hero. You will speak of him with reverence, or GTFO.

You do realize that y'all have allowed this clown over 7 pages of your time, right?...someone's starting to come across as "LSU like", and that's sad.

Harvey is great. I can't imagine a better face of a program than he is for bama.

It's more for the fans of UA/AU to have a platform to show the country that we're bigger than anything Harvey could do. We have deep passion for our schools, but we come together in support of good. It's a "We Built" rather than a "We Hated" kind of opportunity..

I am sorry but having someone as disgusting as him being the face of helping such a serious charity is not right. Have the Tide for toomers and toomers for Tuscaloosa organize it and get a known coach from each side in the tank.

THAT is how a fundraiser should be run. They are injecting hate into what is a very good charity and should be ashamed. He is the epitome of what is wrong when people take this rivalry too far. It should be denounced, not celebrated.

You're pretty reasonable. But at the same time, when some other Alabama nutjob stabs an Auburn fan or burns down his neighbors house or something, it's going to be annoying for us to have to bury the hatchet again and again and again when only one of our fan bases is causing the problem.

It really is a shame they got someone who is such a piece of shite be the face of his charity, which seems like it is a really good cause

I didn't actually read the link though, surely someone else other than Harvey will be there right? Like former coaches or players or something?

Your trolling is starting to stink of desperation at this point.

To the OP, I feel like making him part of a "legitimate" event, no matter the cause, in some sense minimizes the nature of what he did. He's a piece of shite and generally we don't include pieces of shite in non-piece of shite causes.

Actually 100% serious. And I don't particularly care what you or anyone else thinks about it

To be honest that is the only charity that he could do that would be appropriate. I actually thought it was a good idea even if it was trolling.

He has no right bringing his baggage to a charity helping families afflicted with cancer. Like I said bring in the people that bridge the gap between schools. Not one that hurt so many and tarnished the reputation of the school he "likes".

This isn't a thing. The only reputation that was tarnished was his own.

For the most part, it's rival fanbases who have jumped on this and started spewing the "tarnished reputation" and "face of the program" junk.

The majority of the country doesn't even know where Auburn is located, much less care about what happens to a few silly trees.
