Are you a patrol cop? 
I am just suggesting that cops that are in communities every day simply wear a chest mounted camera to protect both themselves and their police depts from legal trouble and have a "what else should he have done" for the media.

fwiw it should be even easier for undercover/ swat guys to have a go pro on. They could confirm they are at the actual right address and that they shot a threat instead of someone giving up.
