Williams led the Southeastern Conference in rushing yards per game (145.5), all purpose yardage (1,826 yards, 166 yards per game) and scoring (102 points).

During the 1995 season in a single game at South Carolina Williams rushed for 299 yards (with three touchdowns in the first half) and a total of 429 all purpose yards (57 receiving and 73 on kickoff returns), the most ever by a player in the Southeastern Conference and the second highest total in NCAA history.

How did he not win the Heisman? I felt that Eddie George was a quality RB, but Moe's numbers are quite impressive.

Moe was a badass, but Eddie George was playing at Ohio State.

Moe was a great RB at Kentucky and had a great season in '95 but the team was 4-7.

Bill Curry was in his death throes, only one season away from being fired after burning Tim Couch's redshirt season to have him run the option.

Anyway, to your question, Williams wasn't even in the discussion for any post-season awards (except 1st team All SEC) because UK was 4-7.

The Heisman is as much a political award as it is related to football.

Where you play is as important as what you do on the field.
