there should be a law saying that you can't marry after 3 times.

Old curmudgeon, as far as I know second only to scrooster.

Grew up in small town, Texas, went into the Army after A&M. Settled in Vicksburg in '82 still in the Army (got lucky). Got out of the Army in '84 because I was no good at it. Married to a beautiful woman. Between us we have 3 kids from 23 to 31.

Most recent presentable pic I have. Missing my old lady and secrant-guy SafetySam who was also there. I'm guessing he was busy chasing down hot Ole Miss ladies. Two from '79, two from '80, all from F-1, the Finest First, the best damn outfit on the campus:

For WYHI purposes, I'm 3rd from the left.

I'm in the same boat as far as anonymity is concerned.

It's part of the reason I try to remain mostly civil on here.

This makes me feel better about possibly not having my first child until I'm 29 or 30.

I guess it's being from MS where everyone seems to have kids straight out of high school (that is, if they didn't have them IN high school), but I feel like an old man just now trying for chillins.

We did the same.

We also have a set of grandparents that don't have any grandkids and are DYING for some, so we'll have them any time we wanna travel once the kids come around.

Personally I think that's about right. Boy was born when I was 30, girl at 34 and she'll soon be finishing college. Right on time for me to enjoy life while I still can, plus I was better able to provide for them than if I'd started at, say, 23.

This is definitely where I'm at.

I was still a kid myself at 23. I didn't feel adequate for parenting until about 2 years ago, but my wife was finishing up medical school so we held off.

We thought about trying last year around this same time, but I was sourced for a deployment that ended up getting cancelled.

I'm once again sourced for a deployment, but we just "frick it" this time and we're trying anyway.
