I understand that the Rant is not real life, but I haven't seen much of this, at all, from your fanbase anywhere.

There's a lot of arrogance (for what reason?), and a lot of bravado about how Texas this and Texas that, and it reeks of insecurity. I don't inherently have anything against aTm as a school, or as a program. But the way some of y'all have been acting about this upcoming game, like some kind of invading army, is a little bit much.

I'm all for sharing a beer with opposing fans, and having a good time of it. There are only a few fanbases that USC fans come into contact with on a regular basis where this seems nigh-impossible, and I don't want aTm to be one of them. It was never like that with Arkansas, or Miss State (the other West "rivals"), and I don't see any real reason for the Aggs to be different. But yet, it certainly seems as if the tone has been set for a stark departure. There's been a complete lack of respect (as visitors, or even as newcomers) from the vast majority of the aTm fans with whom I've come into contact. That's disheartening.

I hope y'all aren't like this in the real world. I genuinely do. If so, this is going to be an ugly series very fast between both groups of fans.

Honestly, there are only about 3 terrible A&M posters on SECR. I've always thought as a whole, Aggie fans are great. I don't believe anything negative will come from the yell practice and I'm looking forward to a great game next week

Its the Texans way of life. Texas is the greatest country on earth and we make it known... But don't think for a second its all bad. We are a very proud bunch (much like you South Carolinans? Carolians? whatever the term) but we are also very easy to get along with.

I urge you to come to College Station, or even find a group of Aggie tailgaters for the game in Columbia.

We aren't. The only reason that some of our posters are acting so goofy is because Scrooster made such a huge deal about the location. When we tried to reason and provide facts about how it was decided on (both parties agreed, and proper permission was granted) these facts were thrown out and discarded by many USC fans. So instead of arguing with you (we weren't going to get anywhere) we just ran with it.

Much like we run with us not winning an SEC game this year because Johnny is gone. None of us believe this will happen, but weve noticed its a lot more fun to agree with the haters and even build on what they want to believe than to try to counter arguments with knowledge.

TL;DR version - This game will be fun for years to come. Both fanbases are very similar and I have no doubt the Aggies you run into at the games will be nothing but hospitable, blame Scrooster for the shite talking on tRant, once we see something bothers someone we will never let it go.
