Maybe my view is biased due to being a UGA alumni/long time UGA fan, but it seems like we have a lot more attrition than most teams. I would love to see the before and after data that shows contribution on the field after recruiting; ours has to be among the worst in the nation in terms of high profile players who became busts.

We don't do any worse than most of our peers. A lot of players just don't work out. High profile players bust everywhere.

ETA: TBH, more than attrition a big problem is that there was a lot of dead weight recruited in the 2010 and 2013 classes. If a guy's not going to get it done, you're honestly better off if there is attrition in that case.

Honestly, I would like to think that is true but without data I find it hard to believe. One thing I do know is we did not have anywhere near a full roster compared to most teams for several years and that alone tells me we have not been over-signing enough to allow for our apparent high level of attrition. Granted that appears to be changing this year.
