As I sat last night and watched the DVR'd launch of the SEC Network and the opening vignette of how "great" the SEC is, and just the over-the-top absurdity of all the SEC jocking.....I thought about how the younger generation of players view all of this and how far the Big 12 has fallen.

The Pac-12, Big 10, SEC, all have networks. That's 3 out of the Big 5, and really let's call it Big 4 b/c no one has cared about ACC football in years before FSU won last season. So that pretty much leaves the Big 12, undoubtedly the second best conf of the 2000's decade, out in the cold. (yes i realize these conferences show other sports, but dont kid yourself, football built these networks)

While all the other conferences w/ networks now have 24/7 opportunities to blow up their name and show how great they've been over the years, the Big 12 has nothing. Even w/ a struggling Nebraska, a decent A&M, decent Mizzou, and crappy Colrado there's still a TON of history there and we could've still had a real network to pump Big 12 propaganda. Instead we have no network and are just the only conf with LESS teams than the name indicates. How sh*tty is THAT?

Oh well, I hear the Univ of Houston has a new stadium this year....maybe we can add them

I'm canceling Cox and switching to DirecTV simply because I don't want to support a carrier that has the LHN and SEC Network.

And then I turned over to ESPNU..and they've got Reece Davis, Butch Davis and Danny Kannell at an Auburn practice...talking about the SEC.

And so I turned over to CBS Sports Network because the guide said "college football preview". And of course...it was an SEC preview. You couldn't make this shite up.

Meanwhile, FS1 was showing second rate MMA or Poker or whatever. ****ing hell FOX, get your shite together and let's have an alternative to this shite.

I had DirectTV for about 8 yrs and just recently switched to Dish to cut my bill in half. I have FS1 and FoxSW. But no Fox SW okla. channel . I never noticed the LHN on my DirectTV network but it is on the Dish Network with Sec,and Pac12 Network.
When i noticed the SEC Network on my package i admittedly called Dish to take it off, along with the LHN. I was told it came with the Sports package i applied for. I told them when they come to work Monday morning and see a receiver has been thrown threw their front window then they will know it was mine.
