Just caught up on this thread. I think the optimism isn't too far fetched this year. We lose Relly but the 2 transfers and Levi, Jimmie hopefully coming along honestly should fill that gap offensively. Scoring should be fine.

Defensively we should be solid. What made me mad about last year is that we didn't even defend well, and that's what Grant's teams are supposed to bring.

A quick, strong pg in Tarrant. Levi we know is good defensively and is a heady defender. Coop improved and can defend a little bit in the post. Hale is not all there defensively 1 on 1 and has feet that sometimes are a step too slow. I can see some teams going at him. Kessens is sneaky athletic and really a crafty player, my question is "How tough is he? Is he soft?"..and Taylor brings rim protection teams wish they had, just needs to be smarter and try to avoid foul trouble.

My optimistic side says we have a number of double digit PPG guys. Hale, Tarrant, Levi, maybe Kessens. Varidel, if he stays healthy, could be near that as a bench guy.

Agree. I see Varidel having occasional games where he'll get 18 then some where he gets 7 or so. I think Hale, Ricky, Levi, Kessens can all average 11-13 PPG.

I'm more concerned about rebounding, only because last year Coop led us with 4.6 and that we ranked LAST in the league last year.

You gotta figure that Taylor getting more minutes and getting bigger will be able to pull some down. He can sky, his 2nd jump is just so slow. Hale had a couple near double- doubles last year so hopefully he can be more consistent.

I have a good feeling about Kessens rebounding. Particularly on the offensive end around the rim.

The freshmen--

Coleman will be exciting to watch on the break, and he's got a quick shot that is $$$.

Devin Mitchell I don't expect much out of, maybe a shooter off the bench this year, a good guy to have on your team though.

Riley Norris I think can provide some minutes. He will have to really lock in defensively early in practices and prove to CAG that he can defend to see the court.

Jeff Garrett I think will be one of our favorite players this year. He will provide depth and has all of the tools to be a good player in this league. He's bouncy, tough, and can shoot a spot up 3. Wouldn't be surprised to see him take some of Cooper's minutes and average maybe like 5pts 4rebs a blk and a stl.

I'm excited, it's not even football season.
