Looking back on it they would have still been extremely successful in the early years. Of course they'd have to play UF Bama and other SEC opponents, but now they get sweet opponents like Syracuse and Boston College.

I've always been somewhat of a Bobby Bowden fan.
But, he flat pussed out on this back in the day.
He knew they'd get lost in the shuffle if they joined tSEC, even back then.
