I'd really like to see Rivers step up. With our O line and backs, I think a 6'7" pocket passer might be just the thing we need...

Sidewalk fan here. I read in the Tennessean that they are still splitting snaps equally. Think with Rivers you get maturity. Not sure what being at LSU for 4 years gets you in terms of actual experience other than a shitload of practice time. Has to think he has gotten at least a little better over those years. He was also offered scholarships at places like Stanford, Fla State, UCLA, etc. how much of that is the last name though.....

Robinette wasn't too terrible last year, seemed to get better as the season went on. Wasn't as highly recruited as the other two. At least he's got a year under his belt.

McCrary was highly recruited as well - offers came in from Fla State and Georgia.

Probably going to go down to the wire. Question is, is it better to have the guy that didn't suck as a backup last year who has legs, the really young guy who can run in case the OL doesn't do well, or the guy that can't run as well but is a giant and can see the field?
