During the offseason we have seen a lot of talk about these 4. To recap:

Cooper - claimed to be best WR in the SEC and an early first round NFL pick.

Coker - Wont miss a beat coming in for AJ. Bama will still win 11-12 regular season games.

Fournette - Will start the season getting a share of the carries but by game 3 will be handling the workload and be a Heisman candidate next year and Freshman of the year this year.

Bo - Will be the best QB in the SEC. Will lead Ole Miss to 9+ wins (the majority of Ole Miss predictions)

Who is in for the biggest letdown in the upcoming season?

A&M for being the third best team in Texas.

Coker by a wide margin IMO. UA's offensive line will make it hard for him to adjust early. He might catch on towards the end of the year, but it will be a rough start for him IMO. UA might have talent, but they're going to have growing pains.

Cooper or Bo. Only the biggest homers think Bo is going to be the best QB or lead Ole Miss to glory. He is however, a competent QB and he'll serve them well.

The idea that Cooper is worthy of an early first round pick is just nuts. That said, the NFL overvalues Saban players, so while I'll be surprised if he's a top 3 WR in the conference this season, you never know what'll happen with the draft.

I think they all have a good year. They won't have to carry their teams.

See good SEC teams play with a "team" mentality and don't lay the load on one single player and expect him to tote the team to victory every week. Teams that win at a high level with consistancy know better than to live 'n die by one individual player. So these guys will have a talents supporting cast of players to help the whole team succeed.

Fournette...six fumbles and only 200 yards rushing through Mid-October.

Dude. Put down the crack pipe.

I disagree with all these "points".

Cooper will be awesome, but one of a few in the SEC this year.

Fournette will be good, but I dont expect explosion until year 2. I could be wrong but the pimping on this kid before he has played a down is ridiculous.

Bo - Meh.

Coker - he has to win the job at bama first. Thats not even certain yet is it?

Define letdown. He won't be winning any major awards, we have too many other weapons.

If he starts, he'll succeed. He certainly won't be a Heisman candidate, but with all the talent on offense, we'd have to be deliberately holding him back for him to not get something like 210 passing yards per game.

For me it's only a let down if he averages under 6 YPC. I don't look for a certain total yardage number with him. That OL will be top 5 in the country in run blocking. He should average at least 6 YPC behind it with his talent.

I don't think he'll be a letdown for Ole Miss. He won't be one of the best in CFB, but he'll be good enough to win them 9+ games.

From the OP, Wallace is the only one that won't meet expectations. He's just a less cool Stephen Garcia.

Everyone on this board seems to forget that LSU does RB by committee.

His impact shouldn't be based on stats, but how many game changing impact plays he makes.

Coker and Fournette have yet to play a single snap in the SEC. Wallace and Cooper have shown they can play in this conference. All 4 could show up big time or they could all have quiet seasons.

Unless he gets injured, Terrance Magee will have more carries than Fournette this season.
