Easiest way to eliminate the Bama schedule argument is for your team to beat them, as AU did last year. Instead of wishing they'd play some schedule that you approve in hopes that they'll lose a couple of games, just focus on your team getting the job done.

I think what makes some fans mad is that more times than not their team hasn't been able to get the job done against Bama. They get upset about the loss and then start hoping someone else beats Bama. They realize it's unlikely and instead of acknowledging that Bama is simply better than 90% of the teams in College Football year in and year out, they whine and complain about "schedule", as if adding one more difficult game will cause the season to come crashing down on the Tide. It's a tired and pointless argument. Simple solution - just beat them.

But I thought no one beats Bama. ... Bama only beats themselves?

Football is a marathon when you have a tough schedule. Easy to play 2-3 good teams a year instead of 5-6

But you are right. Have to beat em to talk shite

Playing a tough schedule makes it much harder to maintain an elite level of play the entire year.

Playing a shite schedule allows you to get it up for big games only then coast 10 weeks a year. Less injuries, less fatigue, reveal less playbook, etc.

Note: I'm not naming teams in this post.

Good point. Let me go call Les and tell him to focus on this. As a fan, I have a lot of say and control of the team and when they win, I should be credited.
