Why is the SEC west so much better than the SEC east at football?

It is a product of better coaching, better facilities, better players, what? Maybe a combination of all three?

Nick Saban is the difference currently

they suck at offering family members of top recruits coaching positions.

It is all about cycles. It was a complete reversal in the 90's. It seemed like the East was always deeper than the West in those years. Also, "better" is quite a subjective term really.

better teams
East is so inconsistent and only have two good teams
USCe
UGA
until Florida and Tenn rise back up they will still be way below the SEC
West has LSU Bama and Auburn leading the way, all 3 are better programs than USCe and Georgia is close behind the 3

The SEC East is boring, rusted, and decaying. It isn't coming back because there isn't the population or talent-base that exists in the SEC West. People think of the SEC, they think of Alabama, Auburn, LSU. Nobody thinks of South Carolina.

And yet an East team has won the most SECCGs.

I'm just glad LSU is all alone in such a talent rich state. Now that Saban built the foundation, and Miles has taken the flag and competing for championships, I don't see our program falling back for a long time. Even after Miles leaves (hopefully not for another 10 years), we have the athletes in state to weather the storm.

I'm wondering will Spurrier's impact stay on USCe even after he leaves. Really good talent in the Carolinas, and recruiting of UGA well. Kinda like how he turned UF from a mediocre football program, (history wise prior to him, yall were) to a powerhouse, which has succeeded even after he left it.

Nick Saban and Gus Malzhan (2010 was more him than chizik).

West has the football schools. East has the basketball schools.

Most SECCG wins = East team
Most BCS bowl wins = East team
Most BCS bowl wins = East team

Better weed, bankrolled bagmen, somewhat tolerant local law enforcement, oh and Dodge Chargers and SEC headquarters.
