It is a product of better coaching, better facilities, better players, what? Maybe a combination of all three?

Weird, Mizzou beat Ole Miss and A&M last year and will probably go 2-0 in the regular season again against Arkansas and A&M.

What I think you meant was, why does the West have 1 team that's better then the East?

 I think the SEC has a handful of coaches that could easily make Georgia champions as well.

Which one if them is going to leave their current job to coach Georgia?

You can't compare Louisiana and Florida. Florida is four times the size of Louisiana. Don't throw some "per capita Louisiana produces the best talent" bullshite at me either because it'll be falling on deaf ears.

What will be A&Ms excuse when USC goes in Dry on the swaggercopter. We all know what happened last year vs Mizzou.

Crazy to think Auburn is 3 of those and Bama only 2

There is a lot more money coming in to the program now, than there was pre-Spurrier. More money as in donations and such,not just TV dollars that has greatly improved facilities.

One word: coaching

There is a ton of talent in Florida and Georgia but the coaches in the East have not been able to put together complete/winning teams largely because they have not been able to attract enough elite recruits. And in Georgia/Richt's case, when he does get elite recruits, we often lose them through attrition for a variety of reasons not the least of which is discipline issues. Georgia under Richt is often viewed as a top underachiever but the truth is the teams Richt recruits are not nearly as talented as the teams that make the field.

2002, 2007, and 2012 were all championship caliber teams. He just needed a little more luck

Right now the West has better coaches than the East. All recruit from the same talent pool so development and performance hinge on coaching.

In the 90's the East was dominant over of the West.

Stuff happens.

Y'all were ahead of Ohio State in both the AP and BCS in 02. Shouldn't have lost to the Zooker.

ummmm, one of these is nothing like the other

dude, you're overplaying it. Miles/LSU has won more SEC games and total games than any other team in the league since 2005. And Miles does have a natty. Not a whole lot of difference as far as I am concerned.

Not enough talent in the East to go around.

gotta call you down on this one grad. if you think that there is more high school talent in loozianna, bama and miss, then youre high as frick. there are more people in the Atlanta area than all of Mississippi. there is AT LEAST equal high school talent in florida, georgia and Carolina as in the afore mentioned. there is enough talent in florida alone to.... nevermind my beer's getting hot. oh and youre dick.

You do realize that of the teams you just listed only Alabama is consistently ahead or even tied with Florida in recruiting right?

According to 247sports Composite Ranking (since 2000: when they actually have rankings for players/teams) it is as follows:

Florida
Avg Class Rank = 8.2
Highest = 1 (3 times)
Lowest = 48

LSU
Avg Class Rank = 9.2
Highest = 1 (1 time)
Lowest = 21

Bama
Avg Class Rank = 13.6
Highest = 1 (4 times)
Lowest = 41

Bama's would obviously be much higher if not for a certain down period/probation. But I would say your assertion that LSU's recruiting is not on par with Florida or Bama is incorrect.
