Why is the OTB so racist lately?

It seems that the OTB has recently become a haven for the most vile of ideologues: the Racist. Personally, I find it very disturbing that so many of you harbor such extremist and prejudiced views.
Examples:
Ranter thinks that black people drive slow because they're criminals or on drugs
Ranter thinks that black people are responsible for the decline of small town America
Ranter wishes he could still call black people Ni**ers
I'm willing to admit that I may be missing the jokes or sarcasm in those threads but the point remains that many people are making very ignorant and bigoted comments about topics that shouldn't be joked about.
Is it just that Ranters are immature and socially inept contrarians or is the bigotry as real as I perceive it to be and if it is real then why is this place attracting so many of them?
I get that this site is devoted to southern sports but damn, c'mon y'all, it's not the 1960's anymore.

Because some people just need to find a monster somewhere to justify their own monstrousness, and because everyone is always glad to talk about how every other group is shitty except for the one they happen to belong to.

Seriously though, the anonymity of the board let's people share these thoughts without the general social price. Probably a good thing, so we can have race conversations without fear of serious repercussions.

What's in those links is pretty weak stuff. You should get out more. I'm fairly prejudiced and I've heard things that make my skin crawl.

For the record, I'm the author of the first link and the OP is lying. I never said anything at all about drugs. I asked a question, didn't even make a statement.

A board of anonymous posters, most of whom are privileged white boys from the south, is going to generate some racism.
That said, I really haven't seen much in my time posting here. Most of the perceived racist comments are more tongue-in-cheek comments. At least that's how I take them. I can see how someone that doesn't visit here regularly would be offended by some comments.

Every time we have an influx of Ole Miss fans this happens. There was a thread last offseason were black bear fans claimed Beyoncé was ugly and they would not bang because she personified the "angry black woman" stereotype. You can't make up their racism sometimes. The truth is stranger than fiction.
