And LSU players don't get into trouble, do they? Hill, Jefferson, Mathieu and on and on.....nothing like a little assault to get the football juices flowing, no?

LSU football payers are so tough they have gone from kicking people while they are lying on the ground, to sucker punching people to attacking women. But Georgia has a problem.

I think all that was pointed out in the OP. Everybody has the right to discipline players how they see fit for infractions that aren't covered under SEC or NCAA guidelines.

I think one of the fundamental arguments here is do these schools discipline policy really do anything to deter detrimental behavior from their athletes and do the punishments actually mold them to be better citizens?

Why do people say that players arent scared of Richt? Every kid that comes to play at UGA KNOWS BEFORE STEPPING FOOT ON CAMPUS that they will get kicked off the team with out hesitation if they screw up. The kids still screw up, they are just idiots, thats not a CMR problem. Also, anyone that has lived in Athens, knows that UGA Campus Police and ACC Police are a bunch of assh0les. They dont let anything slide and dont cut breaks for anyone. They take people to jail quicker than any college campus Ive ever been on in my life. Athens bars/party scene is 2x 3x 4x larger and wilder than any other school in the SEC and most other schools in the country. A lot of kids, not just athletes cant handle living in Athens. Its Disneyland for college kids and it takes serious self control, maturity, and luck to make it out of that town alive in 4-5 years.

Let's face it. Nobody is immune to the problems. While it seems we have had more han our share of problems every school is going through it. Shoot, even Vanderbilt had a wake up call last year. Kentucky, Missouri and South Carolina have had relatively minor problems, but they have had problems nonetheless. There is no magic wand to wave and make them go away. To me, all of the rules should be made uniform across the conference....then a lot of the finger pointing would go away, and I THINK we would all see that the idea that one school is dramatically worse than another is a fallacy.
