That's why they were brought in to pick up a huge swath of territory LSU couldn't really make an impact in.

I don't know about that. While I agree it doesn't always mean success, money helped catapult UF from an afterthought school to a top 3 athletic program in the country.
TBH, TAMU has underachieved considering the resources at their disposal. They'll tell you they haven't always been so huge, however.
