I rewatched that game several times. LSU was running the same plays in both halves. AU was effective in slowing LSU down out of its base defense.

AU was effective running the ball from start to finish.

I'm sure there was a psychological letting up a bit on LSU's part and some subbing, but it wasn't the conservative, second string playing bit people on here want to believe.


LSU won the game and earned it, I was just answering the question as to why it appeared to be a beatdown.
