This came up on another thread and I thought it was interesting. First let's look at the common opponents:
Ole Miss
Ole Miss 27, LSU 24 (Oxford)
Missouri 24, Ole Miss 10 (Oxford)
Auburn
LSU 35, Auburn 21 (Baton Rouge)
Auburn 59, Missouri 42 (Atlanta)
Texas A&M
LSU 34, A&M 10 (Baton Rouge)
Missouri 28, A&M 21 (Columbia)
Florida
LSU 17, Florida 6 (Baton Rouge)
Missouri 36, Florida 17 (Columbia)
Georgia
Georgia 44, LSU 41 (Athens)
Missouri 41, Georgia 26 (Athens)
Observations:
-Missouri did better against 3 of the common opponents; LSU did better against 2 of them.
-Average scores against the common opponents were LSU 30.2, OPP 21.6 and Mizzou 34.2, OPP 26.6.
-The transitive property has its limitations, but based on just the above it appears that LSU-Mizzou would have been a close game, with Mizzou having the edge on offense and LSU having the edge on defense.
-Mizzou seemed to hold up better on the road (Oxford, Athens) than LSU did.
-LSU's defense seemed to over-perform when playing at home (vs. Aub, vs. A&M, vs. Florida) relative to Mizzou.
-Based on the above, I think in an LSU-Mizzou 2013 matchup, whoever would be playing at home would be a slight favorite. A neutral site would be a pick 'em.

Mizzou. Because Ealy, Golden, Sam and Ray.
Mizzou 27-24 on the road. Mizzou 34-17 at home.
Next question.

Does LSU have to play us first? If so, Mizzou.

Mizzou suppose to have the next messiah at QB.
So i would go with LSU we all know how this ends.

LSU!!! Ole miss game 3 first half Int's or it wouldn't have been close. Georgia game Odell's fumbled punt and Georgia was at full strength, Georgia's team was no where near at full strength!!!

I'll stay out of this LSU circlejerk. You guys would suck your own dicks if you could.

I'm sorry but I don't think mizzou comes within 2 TDs of LSU. Just my opinion obviously

I have no doubt in my mind we would have beaten Mizzou by at least two scores.

Mizzou would have a better chance in Baton Rouge than LSU would in Columbia

LSU this year. last year Mizzou. Michael Sam would have tried to play with your Left tackles butt hole in a pile up.

Lsu. Both teams would put up plenty of offense but I could see hill having a huge game leading to mett having a solid game. If played at lsu it'd be double digits. But at Missouri would be a close game.

I agree with your line predictions. Mizzou was good and had a special team last year. They wouldve presented us a great challenge without a doubt.
Why Mizzou and not a different team?

We would have worked Mizzou over in Baton Rouge. Weak, undersized line would have did them in.
It would have looked like the LSU-Auburn game.

LSU lost to a healthy Georgia. LSU lost to a depleted Ole Miss.
Missouri beat an unhealthy Georgia, yes. What about Ole Miss?
LSU was Auburn's 4th game; they had a new coaching staff and were still shaking off the aftereffects of a 3-9 season. Missouri was Auburn's 13th game. It's not fair to compare the results of games that were about 2 months apart. Auburn fans have posted that their offense thrives in a dome, see the 2010 SEC Championship. Auburn was firing on all cylinders especially after knocking off the two-time defending national champions in historical fashion the previous week; that team was high. Auburn hadn't even made their identity when they played LSU; they weren't playing Top 10 football then.
