I'm torn as to whom I think will be the bigger X - Factor this season: Blaze or Isaiah McKenzie (sp?)

When we first started hearing Mckenzie rumors I went and watched his highlights and I could not have been more excited about stealing him from OM. We have got to get that guy onto the field because he can flat out ball.

He's filthy. I wonder, though, if he'll also get some snaps on offense or if this year is strictly special teams

I could see him getting involved on some screens and such, depending how explosive he looks in live action.

Good article on IMac & JJ Green...

“If I see somebody taller than me, I think they've got something against me, just to be honest,” Green said. “I just want to beat you every time. That's just me, though. I don't want people to be like, 'Oh, there's a height difference.' It doesn't matter. If you're a football player you're a football player. If you're going to ball, you're going to ball.”
“A lot of people see my highlight tape and they’re like, ‘Wow, how’s he doing this?’” McKenzie said this past summer. “I just show them that I can be that receiver that you can go to when you need him or that receiver that catches a pass and takes it 80 yards. Even though I’m not 6-foot or 6-5, I can do the same thing they’re doing. I just have to prove that to people and to myself that I can do anything a 6-foot receiver can do, and that’s not only special teams.”

Little man frickin Napoleon complex. Sick of that shite. Short dudes can be such pricks around tall people, it's annoying.
That being said, I hope he takes that attitude to every fricking WR and RB he comes across and jacks some people up.

Old habits die hard...
quote:
Corey Moore had done the drill wrong, and Jeremy Pruitt wasn’t happy. He was even more unhappy when Moore began trying to explain why he had messed up.
“Is that what you’re gonna have, what we had last year, making excuses?” Pruitt said, according to Moore.
Moore, a senior safety, shook his head and said “no.” And Pruitt went on with the drill.
“That’s what we need,” Moore said later in an interview. “Some people hate it. But, at the end of the day, it’s gonna be for the best.”
quote:
“He puts you in every scenario in football, live football,” Moore said. “That’s what we need, and what we didn’t have last year.”
Moore used this word to describe Pruitt: “Perfectionist.”
“He feels like if someone’s not doing their job in the program, you should confront them,” he said. “If he’s not doing his job, he wants you to confront him, and if you’re not doing your job he’s gonna confront you. I feel like that was our biggest thing last year, we didn’t have too many people confronting each other, and just taking accountability when we were wrong.”
Such as that time in practice.
Again, it may prove to be a lot of offseason talk. Four years ago, defensive players were also bullish on the changes brought by Todd Grantham. But Grantham’s changes were more schematic. Pruitt’s have been different and, the Bulldogs fervently believe, stronger.

It's funny to see the difference in coaching styles between the two.
Remember this time last year?
I'm guessing Todd "Keepin' it Chill" Grantham waited patiently for his players to figure it out on their own until he left for Louisville. I really don't understand how he was so coy and positive if his goal twas to field an elite defense.
Even if our secondary is a bust, at least Pruitt is a straight shooter.

Todd Grantham is not worried about his secondary. No really, he's not. Really.
Georgia's defensive backs have been racked by injuries and several potential starters missed Wednesday night's final scrimmage of the preseason. But Grantham, the defensive coordinator in charge of stopping Clemson, or at least holding the Tigers in check, said the secondary situation isn't keeping him up at night.
"Nah. Hey, we've got the guys we've got, and I think the guys that played last night did a good job," Grantham said. "I think they're pretty conscientious. They've just gotta understand the gameplan and understand where their help is, and just gotta keep working."
