This also opens up the possibility for every school to have their own network in the future. Imagine the LSU Network being a national channel.

That's way down the road though, but it's gonna happen.

Actually, probably to the contrary… The SEC network means that we will probably never have individual school channels....There is too much money in combining the content of all the schools and selling it. The SEC has quite clearly showed that the Longhorn network model was a stupid one, and this model is the way to go....45 football games per season basically means every cable provider large and small has no choice but to add the channel and pay the price that the SEC/ESPN is asking.
